    Aquest treball té com a finalitat implementar una nova metodologia del Treball de Síntesi als centres docents. Aquesta, consisteix en utilitzar les eines que ens facilita “Google” per establir la plataforma on introduir les activitats (tant d’enunciat com de resposta) i la resolució de les mateixes. No obstant, tot i la utilització d’aquest tipus d’eines, la nova metodologia no perd de vista les sortides fora del centre docent, ja que es considera que visitar “in situ” aporta als alumnes una manera diferent d’aprendre. Com a plataforma per l’establiment de les activitats per part dels docents i les respostes per part dels alumnes, s’utilitzarà Google Sites. Per a la resolució de les activitats es farà ús d’eines col·laboratives com les que ofereix el Drive, a més d’aplicacions concretes per a la resolució de problemes. Amb aquest sistema es pretén aconseguir a grans trets els objectius següents: - Agilitzar les tasques d’elaboració de les activitats per part del professorat mitjançant l’ús d’una web-enunciat - Fomentar el treball cooperatiu de l’alumnat i del professor - Fer ús d’eines gratuïtes que ens ofereix “Google” Aquesta metodologia tot i estar pensada al llarg del treball per alumnat que està cursant 2n d’ESO en un centre docent del barri de Sant Andreu, es pot aplicar a qualsevol centre docent on es realitza el Treball de Síntesi, és a dir, de 1r a 3r d’ESO. El treball conté una proposta d’activitats on es reflecteix quin tipus d’activitats haurien de realitzar els alumnes, així com les eines i procediment per a resoldre-les. També es realitza un exemple del material que hauria de preparar el professorat per a l’alumne mitjançant una web-enunciat elabora amb “Google Sites” A més, abans de realitzar la proposta es fa un anàlisi de la normativa aplicable en l’àmbit del Treball de Síntesi, així com les metodologies que es porten a terme i les ambientacions que es realitzen a nivell general

    To Whom are You Talking? A Deep Learning Model to Endow Social Robots with Addressee Estimation Skills

    Communicating shapes our social word. For a robot to be considered social and being consequently integrated in our social environment it is fundamental to understand some of the dynamics that rule human-human communication. In this work, we tackle the problem of Addressee Estimation, the ability to understand an utterance's addressee, by interpreting and exploiting non-verbal bodily cues from the speaker. We do so by implementing an hybrid deep learning model composed of convolutional layers and LSTM cells taking as input images portraying the face of the speaker and 2D vectors of the speaker's body posture. Our implementation choices were guided by the aim to develop a model that could be deployed on social robots and be efficient in ecological scenarios. We demonstrate that our model is able to solve the Addressee Estimation problem in terms of addressee localisation in space, from a robot ego-centric point of view.Comment: Accepted version of a paper published at 2023 International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IJCNN).     Robot-assisted excision of urachal cyst: case report in a child

    Abstract Background The urachus is an embryological structure of the urogenital sinus and allantoid that connects the allantois to the early bladder in fetal life and then remains as the median umbilical ligament connecting the umbilicus to the dome of the bladder. An early laparoscopic procedure could trigger a quiescent urachal remnant to become symptomatic, causing a lesion or infection either during carbon oxide contamination or insufflation or a periumbilical or suprapubic port placement. Case presentation A 15-year-old girl complaining of supra-pubic abdominal pain. About 2 months previously, she had undergone laparoscopic appendectomy for acute appendicitis, and early postoperative period was uneventful. She underwent a robotic-assisted excision of a urachal cyst. Conclusions It has been suggested that early laparoscopic procedures could trigger previously asymptomatic urachal remnants to become symptomatic. Robot-assisted excision of a urachal cyst is a safe, effective alternative to open surgery in children

    A Smo/Gli multitarget hedgehog pathway inhibitor impairs tumor growth

    Pharmacological Hedgehog (Hh) pathway inhibition has emerged as a valuable anticancer strategy. A number of small molecules able to block the pathway at the upstream receptor Smoothened (Smo) or the downstream effector glioma-associated oncogene 1 (Gli1) has been designed and developed. In a recent study, we exploited the high versatility of the natural isoflavone scaffold for targeting the Hh signaling pathway at multiple levels showing that the simultaneous targeting of Smo and Gli1 provided synergistic Hh pathway inhibition stronger than single administration. This approach seems to effectively overcome the drug resistance, particularly at the level of Smo. Here, we combined the pharmacophores targeting Smo and Gli1 into a single and individual isoflavone, compound 22, which inhibits the Hh pathway at both upstream and downstream level. We demonstrate that this multitarget agent suppresses medulloblastoma growth in vitro and in vivo through antagonism of Smo and Gli1, which is a novel mechanism of action in Hh inhibition

    Multicenter Real-World Data of Subsequent Chemotherapy after Progression to PARP Inhibitors in a Maintenance Relapse Setting

Overlapping mechanisms of resistance between PARPi and platinum have been described, and optimal therapies upon progression to PARPi are unknown. We communicate real-world data (RWD) on outcomes of subsequent chemotherapy upon progression to PARPi used as maintenance in ovarian cancer relapses, particularly focusing on platinum rechallenge, according to BRCA status. Methods: Data from high-grade serous or endometrioid ovarian cancer patients who received subsequent chemotherapy after progression to maintenance PARPi in the relapsed setting, in 16 Catalan hospitals between August 2016 and April 2021, and who were followed-up until July 2021, were included. Endpoints were overall response rate (ORR), and PFS and overall survival (OS) measured from the subsequent chemotherapy starting date. Results: 111 patients were included [46 (41.4%) presented pathological BRCA1/2 mutations, 8 (7.5%) in other homologous recombination-related genes]. Sixty-four patients (57.7%) had received two prior chemotherapy lines, including the one immediately prior to PARPi. PARPi were niraparib (n = 60, 54.1%), olaparib (n = 49, 44.1%), and rucaparib (n = 2, 1.8%). A total of 81 patients remained platinum-sensitive (PS population) after progression to PARPi (when progression-free interval [PFI] was >6 months after the last cycle of prior platinum) [median PFI 12.0 months (interquartile range, IQR, 8.8-17.1)]. Of those, 74 were treated with subsequent platinum regimens, with the following results: ORR of 41.9%, median PFS (mPFS) of 6.6 months (95% CI 6-9.2), and median OS (mOS) of 20.6 months (95% CI 13.6-28.9). Analysis of these 74 patients according to BRCA status showed that PFIs for BRCA mutant and non BRCA-mutant patients were 13.6 [IQR11.2-22.2] and 10.3 [IQR 7.4-14.9] months, respectively (p = 0.010); ORR were 40.0% versus 43.6%, respectively; Rates of progression (as best response) to subsequent platinum were 45.7% versus 17.9%, respectively (p = 0.004); mPFS and mOS were 3.5 (95% CI 2.5-8.6) versus 7.5 months (95% CI 6.5-10.1, p = 0.03), and 16.4 (95% CI 9.3-27.5) versus 24.2 months (95% CI 17.2-NR, p = 0.036), respectively. Conclusion: This is the largest series of real-world data on ovarian cancer patients retreated with platinum in the post-PARPi scenario, separately analyzing BRCA mutant and non-mutant patients, to our knowledge. In our platinum-sensitive population, rechallenge with platinum after progression upon PARPi in the 3rd or later lines for ovarian cancer relapses shows relevant ORR and similar PFS outcomes to historical series of the prePARPi era. However, BRCA mutant patients presented significantly higher rates of progression under subsequent platinum and worse survival outcomes associated with subsequent platinum than non-BRCA-mutant patients

Por ello, se buscan alternativas basadas en recursos naturales renovables.El presente trabajo, es el resultado de una minuciosa revisión bibliográfica acerca de las energías renovables, concretamente en lo referente a la producción de biogás y biometano a partir de la biomasa por medio de la digestión anaerobia.Se han analizado los fundamentos de la digestión anaerobia, las distintas biomasas susceptibles de tratamiento por este método, así como, los pretratamientos y la posible adición de nanopartículas para la mejora de la producción de biogás.Por otra parte, se han analizado los beneficios de la codigestión y de la denominada fermentación oscura (“DARK FERMENTATION”) como métodos alternativos de obtener biohidrógeno y biogás.Por último, se ha hecho una recopilación del potencial de producción de biogás existente en España.<br /
